First to integrate all business unit marketing under one central marketing department including: FBO/Line Services, Aircraft Maintenance & Avionics services, New and Pre-Owned Aircraft Sales, and Air Charter and Aircraft Management.

Fully responsible for all aspects of multi-channel marketing effort (concept, planning, design, copy, production, media buying, deployment and measurement) for print, digital, and direct outreach marketing. Developed and managed large specialized campaigns for major efforts including a major avionics and capabilities upgrade program for the Beechjet 400A / 400XP in 2011 and an industry-leading Garmin G950 avionics retrofit for the Piper Meridian (PA-46TP) in 2012.

Brought aboard to lead a new internal marketing & production department to reduce reliance on agency support. Directly responsible for management of marketing activities relating to traditional undergraduate admissions and marketing under the Director of Institutional Marketing. Acted as production coordinator and designer for Graduate and Non-Traditional admissions marketing activities and coordinated all print and electronic communications from initial design through final delivery. Led in-house design and production of all marketing materials and maintained the position of lead copy and graphic designer for Office of Institutional Marketing as a way to successfully cut agency and contractor expenses, streamline processes and reduce departmental budgetary concerns. Consulted for marketing production of materials for internal departments of Daniel Webster College including, but not limited to: Aviation, Athletics, Development, Academics, Student Life, Public Relations, and Career Resources.

Led the total redesign of admissions and recruitment print and web collateral including revision of the brand appearance for all publications. Redesign included complete graphic redesign of the institutional web property and upgrade of the SEO strategy.

Collings Foundation – Stow, MA | May 2001 – Janaury 2006

Brought on staff to completely redevelop the marketing and promotional infrastructure for the living history programs and fundraising for the Collings Foundation (501c3 non-profit foundation) including their flagship program, the Wings of Freedom WWII Aircraft Tour. Responsible for redesign of all collateral, advertising templates, direct mail materials, digital ads, media kits, and the organization website. Designed and managed all promotional communications campaigns. Implemented the first internal media relations database (Cision MediaSource) to assist in local media contact lists and plans and coordinating media buys to promote the ground tours and Flight Experience program (passenger flights aboard the aircraft) at each display location.

Managed logistics, volunteer staffing, and community relations as National Coordinator for the Wings of Freedom Tour for each of the 120+ display locations each year including airport display arrangements, fuel & ground services, crew accommodations & ground transportation, and tour crew volunteer staffing. Developed the first custom database (Microsoft Access) for the management of all tour logistical and promotional planning.

Increased gross donation revenue for the Wings of Freedom Tour by 12-16% growth annually over previous years from 2002 through 2006 with increased Flight Experience ridership, ground tour attendance, & “PX” gift shop sales.

Developed the first promotional web property for the Collings Foundation and responsible for all ongoing content management and SEO. Introduced the first retention-focused print direct mail and email communications program to previous customers, geographically segmented. Expanded the annual member magazine publication in size of product & audience.

Developed the first entry-level individual membership program for the Collings Foundation in 2005 to establish a new fundraising vehicle focused on sustaining annual donations. Co-developer and graphic designer for the Warbirds Resource Group (WRG) including Co-developer & graphic designer for the Warbirds Resource Group (WRG) including noted websites: Warbirds Information Xchange, and Warbird Registry. Through aggressive “grassroots” marketing, WRG visitor traffic increased by 40% from 2004-09, growing to just over 2.2 Million unique visitors per year establishing WRG as a primary source for Google, CNN, and BBC.

Currently leading monetezation and advertising planning effort to sustain the site and provide capital for growth into a database-driven, content rich site with social collaboration capabilities.

Stemming from my work with the Warbird Information Exchange (from 2002 to present), I was brought aboard with Warbird Radio as the co-host of the weekly one-hour show “WIX Warbird Weekly Live” airing at 8pm ET / 5pm PT each Wednesday evening with co-host Zane Adams. The live call-in, talk radio format show focuses on the latest news from the warbird industry and recaps of trending stories on the WIX warbird forum. The show airs live and is rebroadcast on WarbirdRadio.com through the week and is available as a Podcast as well.

Warbirds Unlimited Foundation, Inc. – 1/2008 – 1/2010
Marketing / Publicity Manager
Volunteer Marketing & Publicity Manager for the Warbirds Unlimited Foundation, a 501c3 non-profit historic aviation group operating a North American B-25H Mitchell. Responsible for public relations and press management, media purchase and advertising design, website design and maintenance, and social media evangelist for the organization. Coordinated marketing transition when the flagship B-25H was transferred to another organization in June 2009.

Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 196 – Stow, MA – 10/2003 – 10/2004
Young Eagles Coordinator
EAA Chapter 196 at Minuteman Airfield in Stow, MA traditionally hosts a monthly Young Eagles rally throughout the year, giving local children and their parents the ability to fly in a light General Aviation aircraft for free through the generosity of local volunteer pilots. In the volunteer role of Young Eagles Coordinator, I helped coordinate the volunteer pilots for each month; promote the event through local media, schools, and community groups; schedule flights for families; collect and verify all paperwork and send to EAA in Oshkosh, WI; and print and distribute the Young Eagles flight certificates. Sharing the excitement of helping children see the world from a different point of view in a light aircraft was an immensely rewarding experience!

Participated in the Aviation Policy Seminar sponsored by the University Aviation Association in Washington D.C.. Worked with Daniel Webster College students in researching and presenting issues in the aviation industry as they relate to the government, regulatory agencies, and industry associations. Worked with the issue of FAR 91 Fractional Ownership as a focus for the seminar and met with representatives of NATA, NBAA, GAMA, and the FAA as well as staff of the House of Representatives Aviation Subcommittee.

Acted as a tour guide within the museum educating visitors about the history of aviation as exemplified by the aircraft collection the museum possessed.
